Crazy winter storm!

This storm blew in so fast we were left with our mouths hanging open. And then, as quickly as it came, it went. We were left with a beautiful sunset which I didn't get any pictures of because I was too busy enjoying it.

A while back, big J was mowing the lawn and found this nest. A nest is a lovely thing as it is. But this nest was made with some of the fur from our dog who loves running around the yard. From our nest to yours, little bird.

Finally!

I've been invited to participate in a Valentines Pop up store in Beacon NY. I haven't given myself to much time to get ready. Here's some wristlet pouches to get me started. I'm not a big fan of cutsey hearts and cupids. I'm doing things I love. Love is Valentines, right?

Found this on Craigslist weeks ago and really wanted it but for some reason I didn't get it. Then I saw it again and I though it must be a sign!

And after the transformation. I'm really loving silver things these days. ( Did you notice the bag I made for myself?) I'm really happy with it. No more clutter right by the front door. Glad you waited for me chifforobe!

With all the sewing, I've actually used many spools of thread ( although you wouldn't know it because I've barely posted anything I've sewn. Very soon, really, I'll get cracking soon!). I couldn't just throw out those lovely wood spools. Or the scraps of fabric. It's challenging to figure out what is hoarding and what's collecting. My new rule is, if I can't think of an immediate project for the object, out it goes.

We've been getting some snow. I've been feeling like I need to take advantage of it. So, snow pictures. We also tried to build an igloo but j lost interest. Sledding has been pretty successful and j even went on the flexible flyer by himself!

I'm going to get back to sewing any day.
